METROPOLITAN DEMETRIOS STARTED HIS SERVICE IN UKRAINE

On October 28, 2012, in Transfiguration of the Lord Cathedral of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical, the first common Liturgy of Chor-Bishop of Zhytomyr Oleksandr and Chor-Bishop of Fastiv Vasyliy with Metropolitan from Greece Demetrios (Stavros Zografos) took place. Metropolitan Demetrios had asked His Holiness Patriarch Moses to be accepted under the omophorion of His Holiness with the purpose to create an Orthodox community of Greece citizens, who live in Ukraine. Patriarch Moses blessed Metropolitan Demetrios to come to Kyiv and to start the serving in the status of candidate for joining the UAOC-C clergy.
