On Sunday, August 1, the city of the Transcarpathian region Uzhgorod was sanctified by the Cross procession which was accomplished by the clergy and the faithful of the UAOC-C, to capture the attention of citizens to the disgraceful facts of discrimination and total elimination of the Divine Church in their city.
The robbery and arson of the Saint Andrew the First Called Church, seizure of the Holy Trinity church by the anathemized A.Malynych and his band, cynical action of the re-consecrating by the false patriarch Filaret (A.M.Denysenko)of the foundation of the future temple which belongs to the community of the UAOC-C, cruel beating of the clergy and the faithful by the Filaret’s bishop Kyrylo and hired band of the lads – it is not the complete list of the criminal actions which became possible through the complete corruption in the state, law-enforcement authorities and security agencies in Uzhgorod.
The clergy and the faithful of the UAOC-C, passing the central streets of the city, voiced protest near the Prosecutor’s Office of Uzhgorod, near the Regional Council of Zakarpattia Oblast, Uzhgorod Town Council and the Regional State Administration of Zakarpattia Oblast against the flagrant violation of their civil and constitutional rights and freedoms, envisaged in the article 35 of the Constitution of Ukraine and in the international standards of the Law "On the right of conscience and religious organizations".
The community of the UAOC-C appeals to all people of good will, to religious and legal international organizations for help and protection from repressions and elimination of our Church, we appeal for support in assertion of our legal rights on the freedom of the world-view and the freedom of conscience/
