On Sunday morning, August 1, 2010, near the Holy Trinity church an orthodox divine service was carried out by the Chor- Bishop of Uzhgorod and the Transcarpathian region Vasyliy.
Despite the acts of cruel violence and vandalism, which were made on July, 18 of this year by Filaret’s anathemized bishop Kyrylo and his hirelings-bandits to the community in Uzhgorod, the faithful of UAOC-C came to the sainted temple again to witness before God their indestructibility in the struggle against an evil and corruption in the legal agencies of Uzhgorod.
The church procession came to the gates of the Holy Trinity church at nine o’clock. But it has already been expected by the squad of police, their aim was to stop the legal proprietors to enter the territory of church. This fact once again confirmed the dominant influence of corruption in the Uzhgorod law-enforcement department. Police which is called to represent the interests of the state again protected gangsters in the frocks, whose crimes are sheltered by the Deputy Prosecutor of Uzhgorod, A.A Malynych. Interfering in the process of conducting of religious ceremony security agencies violated the Constitution of Ukraine, which emphasizes that the church is dissociated from the state. So, we are making sure once again, that modern power structures and legal agencies in Uzhgorod fully imitate the Stalin system of repressions, protecting the illegal actions of its henchmen.
But no obstructions were able to prevent the clergy and the faithful of the UAOC-C to praise God. Disposed on a mountain near the closed gate, near the squad of police they as the Christians of the first ages prayed to Lord with the request of justice, peace and calmness for the long-suffering Transcarpathian land and building of His God’s Church in Ukraine.
