On Wednesday, July 29, the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical carried out the protest action near the Holosiyivskyi District Department of Central Administration of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kyiv and submitted the application to the Head of this agency with the demand to stop the intended protraction of the investigation of the criminal case against the Church and its Primate Patriarch Moses and to direct his activity in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation in force.
Discrimination and repressions against our God’s Church have been lasting for more than 10 months already. The seizure and destruction of the temples in Uzhgorod, physical violence over the faithful and the clergy occur. The modern governmental and legal authorities have directly inherited the Stalinist repressive system, protecting the actions of their officers. Thus, Myhailo Denysenko (Filaret), the devoted Stalin-era adept, having appropriated the title of the patriarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kievan Patriarchy exterminates and captures in bandit manner the temples, built at the own cost of Moses and the faithful of our Church. In order to Patriarch Moses could not defend his God’s Church from extermination, Filaret organized the persecution of Moses, trying to plant drugs on him and kill him. Because of the direct threat to be killed and the crime of omission f the law-enforcement bodies, Patriarch Moses had to leave Ukraine. Having made use of that, the police, at the order of Filaret, opened the falsified criminal proceedings, the investigation of which is being carried out with the gross violations of the legislation in force. During the entire process of the investigation there are still no true evidences of the accusation brought. But, having protection from Filaret, investigator major of the Holosiyivskyi District Department of Central Administration of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kyiv Riabovol refuses to dismiss the forged criminal case against Patriarch Moses.
Meanwhile in Ukrainian mass media continue to appear many articles and reportings which directly defame our Church and provoke the embittered attitude of the Ukrainian people towards the UAOC-C and its Primate.
Such discrimination and repressions are inadmissible in the state, which declares itself to be democratic one.
The clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous orthodox Church Canonical, standing for the native land and their State, address to the uncorrupted policemen and call them to remember their loyalty oaths to the Ukrainian people and stop and put end to the extermination of the clear future for our state with their honest conscientious work.
