On Sunday, July 18, 2010, Bishop Vasyliy, the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical were beaten up brutally by the Filaret's bishop, Kyrylo ( secular name - Myhailo Illiarovych Myhailiuk) and by 25 lads of unknown radical group.
That happened during the Sunday Divine Liturgy.
As usual, the clergy and the faithful went in the territory of the Holy Trinity Church, which belongs to the community, passed to the foundation of the new temple.
However, the fellows, who up to a certain time hided in the forest near church, were waiting for them.
Headed by the bishop of the UOC-KP, Kyrylo and priest V.V. Velegitskyi, they, shouting obscenities, attacked the aged people and the clergy.
The police squad of 3 persons was not able to retain the fierce lads, who were set by the anathemized priest V.V. Velegitskyi.
Anathemized bishop Kyrylo kicked Bishop Vasyliy in the head with tremendous malice, so that even broke his crosier. Then he snatched big stone and threw it towards bishop Vasyliy, hitting the back window of car.
When 3 more police squads had arrived, the situation hushed a little bit. The police, taking down depositions of two parties, drove away. Several priests of the UAOC-C had to go to the police department to testify, as the furious lads did not let them earlier. After priests had testified in the police, they noticed the bandits of the abovementioned group to keep them under surveillance.
In such a way, the Filaret's church, under the veil of sanctity does sacrilege, raid temples, exterminate the God's Church and threaten the life of true Christians.
All that occurs at the instigation of the police, who observes the events and take no measures to defend. On the contrary, the police even prompt the bandits how to act better. But it does not punish the bandits. And as a result, twist all the cases so the victims become the guilty, how it happened with Patriarch Moses.
At the very moment, the criminals spy on our clergy and may attack them and kill them at night. And the police have no time to detain them.
