Recently, I have seen on your WEB site the photos of the attempts upon Your Beatitude, Patriarch Moses of Holy Ukrainian Orthodox Church, what caused my strong indignation.
Nobody, even if having the reason for, has right to attempt upon someone's life, attack someone or infringe the fundamental human rights, moreover, attempt physically the life of the person in high holy orders. What are the grounds for me to say that? I consider, that we need no laws and Codes, as our human nature has to rule us, as it is supposed, the human being is the wisest creature leaving on the Earth. That's why, to attempt upon somebody's life - means to commit crime against all the humankind, here we can to paraphrase Monsignor Romero: "HE, WHO ATTACKS ONE OF MY PRIESTS, ATTACKS ME, ARCHBISHOP", as HE, WHO ATTEMPTS UPON ONE CHRISTIAN, ATTEMPTS UPON ALL THE CHRISTIANS AS WE COMPASSIONATE AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER.
Violence and persecution against Patriarch Moses is the crime against Christianity and the offence for all us, who profess holy Christian faith.
We, the Salvadoran Catholic Apostolic Church call the guilty of this crimes to stop do harm to the servant of God immediately, if they want to avoid the holy anger of Lord.
We appeal to the representatives of the international authorities, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the International Amnesty to take interest in these facts, to intervene and examine this case and demand from the competent authorities to administer justice in this heinous crime.
We appeal to all the Christian churches, irrespective of denomination to be compassionate, in the Christian Spirit and to pray for the Ukrainian Church, and especially for His Beatitude Patriarch Moses, his clergy and the faithful.
We also demand the reparation of damages, the proper penalties for the guilty and return of all things and documents, which were expropriated with unknown purpose, as they are the unique property of the entire Church and its Patriarch.
Our unworthy prayers and the most sincere regards to the mother of Patriarch, Patriarch Moses and his entire congregation.
