June 4, 2010, during the broadcasting of programme “Black Square”, the journalist of TV channel Kyiv, Oleksandra Letynska disseminated in public blatantly false contract information directed at the defamation of our Church and its Primate Patriarch Moses
Without any doubt, the contract reporting at TV channel Kyiv is one more element of the large-scale brutal campaign against Patriarch Moses and the God’s Church headed by him. This campaign has been lasting for many years, using cynical and amoral methods of influence upon people. This campaign poisons human souls, infusing them with distrust to religious organizations and turns people away from God. It is a crime both before the State and the Ukrainian people.
The anathematized Filaret (M.A. Denysenko) is one of the initiators of these criminal antichristian actions. Almost every event occurring with the UAOC-C adds more facts to this affirmation. Only the representatives of the UOC-KP and the workers of the state institutions, patronized by the UOC-KP participate in all contract programmes against Patriarch Moses and the UAOC-C. So in the reporting broadcasted by TV channel Kyiv, the anathematized bishop Evstratiy Zoria, the spokesman of the UOC-KP let himself give commentaries concerning the activity of our Church. The participation of the UOC-KP spokesman in this reporting and his commentaries is the interference with the activity of our Church, contribution to formation of negative attitude towards our Church and inflaming of the religious feud. The actions of Evstratiy Zoria are antichristian and illegal; they violate the Article 5 of the Law of Ukraine on Freedom of Consciousness which declares: “A religious organization may neither interfere with the activity of the other religious organizations, nor apply any form of exhortation of hostility and intolerance towards non believers and believers of other confessions”.
The Patriarch’s Office of the UAOC-C states that nowadays, the lawlessness and corruption flourish in Ukrainian mass media sphere, which lead to rise of chaos in the society.
The Patriarch’s Office of the UAOC-C declares that our Church will continue to defend Christian values, the principles of morality and spirituality and to struggle for the restoration of lawfulness and justice in the society by all the legal means including judicial investigation.
The Patriarch's office of the UAOC-C addresses to the President of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General of Ukraine yet again, with the demand to intervene in the processes, unprecedented for the democratic state and defend the constitutional rights of the citizens of Ukraine.
