On April 16, the clergy and the faithful of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical carried out the protest action near Holosiyivskyi District Department of Central Administration of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kyiv and submitted the application to the Colonel Oleksandr Tereshchuk, the chief of this department. The application concerned to illegal actions of the investigator Y.P. Riabovol, who has been violating in a gross manner the Constitution of Ukraine, the UNO Declaration of Human Rights, the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights as to our Church and its Primate Patriarch Moses.
Under President V.A. Yushchenko, the small patriotic Churches had been exterminated with his direct support and through the government bodies and UOC-KP headed by the anathematized Filaret Denysenko. One of such Churches is the UAOC-Canonical. The filthy criminal cases were forged against the Primate of the UAOC-C, Patriarch Moses (Koulik) to exterminate it. The investigation has been lasting already for half a year but like it was 6 months ago, it does not contain any facts, only false claims. Investigator Y.P. Riabovol, knowing that the cases are framed-up, does not put any questions related to the charge of Patriarch Moses and to the matter of the case during the examinations of the UAOC-C parishioners.
The opposition between the forces of good and evil is going on. Despite all the efforts of the people, who are fighting with God, our Church continues its spiritual life, The divine services are being celebrated, the spiritual educating lectures are being held, the number of the parishioners is increasing.
Under the new President, V.F. Yanukovych, the discrimination of churches on the part of the governmental bodies continues mechanically. The framed-up and paid case against our Church is remained to be open.
President V.F. Yanukovych and his team declare the development of the democratic European state with absolute supremacy of the law, establishment of justice and order in the state, struggle with corruption and abuse of authority. These slogans of the new power give little hope to us for overcoming of all the negative consequences of the previous authorities against the God’s Church in Ukraine.
We rely completely only on God Allmighty.
