OPEN LETTER
Dear Victor Andriyovych, Volodymyr Mykhaylovych and Yulia Volodymyrivna!
On December 1, 2009, the Ukrainian people commemorate once again the Day of holding the Nationwide referendum when the citizens of Ukraine voted for the establishment of the independent, democratic, civilized Ukrainian state. The state, where were to realize the centenarian aspiration of the Ukrainians for living in prosperous, flourishing and of high spiritual level country. Irrespective of all the promises of the governmental elite the ordinary life of Ukraine during the last 18 years has showed that proclamation of slogans of fancy life, of the intention to implement the national idea, of the adherence to the European and world ideals was nothing else but the mechanism for realization of absolutely other intentions - creation of the conditions for capturing power by the small group of the representatives of the Ukrainian society, who robbed the majority of the Ukrainians, actually appropriating not only all property but the power as well. And this is with the assumption of the fact that in the Constitution of Ukraine adopted on June 28, 1996, the people were proclaimed as the main source of power.
For the first 18 years of the independency, Ukraine has not managed to enter upon the path of the development of the united national democratic state that protects the interests of its citizens. The real power in Ukraine is held by the managerial-oligarchic groupments that are closely interrelated by the common anti-popular valuable interests. Has taken place the emergence of the power and the capital into single criminal conglomeration that, strengthening the ruling itself consciously sentence the majority of the Ukrainians to poverty, lack of rights and belief.
The principle of the supremacy of law in our state is proclaimed in the Constitution of Ukraine, however non-fulfillment of the rights and freedoms of the citizens, absence of the mechanism of compliance of laws and normative acts, the corrupted judicial branch of power, actual presence of the system of total irresponsibility for their actions of the mass media instead of the freedom of speech calls the basic principle of the fundamental law of the state into question.
The struggle of criminal-oligarchic groupments, that compete for the establishment of the authoritarian regime in Ukraine not for the attainment of democracy, freedom of speech and civil society become the factor that allows to the disappointed and driven into hopelessness society find out about the remnants of truth about the corrupted state named Ukraine. In Ukraine, the system of the half a million law-enforcement agencies works for the defense of the rich and let them protect themselves against legislation. Now it is no need to be the "werewolves with epaulets" to commit the crime, as these crimes are performed in the cabinets of authorities and conducted in the interests of the same ruling elite. And here is worth mentioning the fact that the ruling elite dominates not only our life, it dominates over our feelings and our spirituality.
In the Constitution, the correct words about freedom of thought and belief, about freedom to confess any religion, minister individually or collectively religious cults and sacral ceremonies, to conduct religious activity are proclaimed. But also here is the monopolization when lured in the Soviet times religious figures privatized the right to be the people's leaders, the representatives of churches, who attended upon the communist power, began to serve to the new power, to conduct a fight against any manifestations of independence in the choice of ideology and spirituality of faith.
Definitely it is manifested now when in Ukraine has developed and successfully conducted due to the followers of the infamous Pukach the campaign on the extermination of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical that at the decision of the Council of the Hierarchs in the Diaspora was to revive the canonical lineage in Ukraine. The expanded by the most insidious methods by militia against the First Hierarch of this church Patriarch Moses, the slanderous campaign of yellow in the essence mass medias launched the frightful blow to the faithful and to the clergy of UAOC-C that never has resorted to raid, capture of another's property, churches, has not carried on doubtful business, and only aspires for the spiritual purification of Ukraine, strives for helping the underprivileged and offended to perceive the God's truth
Accomplishing numerous protest actions, letters to the authorities and people's deputies, the clergy and the faithful of UAOC-C reach the conclusion that it is very difficult to obtain justice and lawfulness in Ukraine.
At the anniversary of the Nationwide referendum, addressing to you, the chief executives of the state, candidates to President of Ukraine, we ask you to remember your promises that exactly you know and are able to make Ukraine civilized, democratic and legal state. But our country will be such only if in this state every citizen will feel that he/she is a Person and government rises to the defence of his/her rights and freedoms.
