November, 7, 2009, the rough power capture of the Holy Trinity church of the Uzhgorod eparchy of Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical took place in Uzhgorod..
In the evening, during the preparation to the evening service, Andrei Malinich (his father is a Deputy Public prosecutor of Uzhgorod Malinich A.A), Valery Velegickiy and four persons of characteristic look broke into the building of church. They behaved in a rough way in the church, inflicted physical injuries on bishop Vasiliy and other clergymen.
The assailants wringed bishop’s hands and took out of his pocket the seal and keys from the building of the church and advised to apply to Gulevatyj Anatoliy Ivanovich (one of the organizers of the campaign on annihilation of Patriarch Moses and UAOC-C in Kyiv)for explanations.
The police squad, which was called, left for unknown reasons, but the other arrived, who helped assailants to release the church from a bishop Vasiliy and other clergymen.
The church is closed today, but the rights to it have been already declared by the representative of Filaret Denisenko.
Patriarchy of UAOC-C is indignant at the inadmissible for modern society criminal capture of the building of church with the support of the law-enforcement agencies and the direct participation in these events of the representatives of other religious confessions.
The Patriarchy of UAOC-C emphasizes that the large-scale campaign aimed at the annihilation of Patriarch Moses and the Gods' Church is gathering pace in Ukraine today.
The Patriarchy of UAOC-C addresses to the President as the guarantor of constitutional rights and freedoms and to the general prosecutor with a requirement to give a legal appraisal to the last events and to restore a democratic system in the country.
