SOS! Vigorous activity aimed at the annihilation of Patriarch Moses began on the part of the corrupted state structures of the Defense Service of Ukraine (SBU).
October 5, 2009, Patriarch stayed alone with family at the Kyiv diocese building and noticed that something was occurring around the house. Some people tried to enter the territory of diocese. Patriarch heard the fragments of conversation: "...throw drugs and make a drug addict of him..."
Patriarch Moses called the police but they arrived only an hour later, asked him whether he was really the patriarch and left, having done nothing. Before leaving, policemen had a talk with people surrounding the diocese building. Among them was Gulevatyi Anatoliy Ivanovytch, the director of the distilling plant in village Tkhorivka, who being the adherent of Filaret last half a year posed as the devoted parishioner of UAOC-C.
Thanks to the priests coming on call of Patriarch, the pressure of attackers was rebuffed. Although two of them were still ambushed near the exit of the diocese territory in Mitsubishi Lancer AA 94-38 HT. In the morning, when Patriarch Moses accompanied by the priests left to his apartment, this car followed them.
Patriarch having entered his flat, the doorbell ringing and calls via house intercom with the demand to open the door to the representatives of the law-enforcement authorities began. The deacons, who stayed guarding near the door were detained and taken away in unknown direction. Patriarch Moses called the police and opened the door only then when was sure in seeing behind the door not only the attackers but the police unit summoned on his call. Then the reports were drawn up, the circumstances were found out and the declaration of attempt on his life from Patriarch Moses was taken.
Meanwhile, near the building where the Patriarch's flat is situated, the clergy and the faithful summoned having wishes to support their Patriarch and having hopes that the attackers wouldn't dare violate justice in public. The policemen in private clothes, police unit and people in bullet-proof vests went upstairs to the Patriarch's flat. At last TV journalists came, channel ICTV, reporter Anna Kibeniuk. According to her, they came on anonymous call at "sectarians gathering". Then the people came, who with the well-paid-for heat told disgusting things for TV camera, although days earlier had came for the Patriarch's blessing. Then witnessed the faithful of UAOC, who strived to unmask the liars and told how Patriarch taught to love God and Ukraine, to be happy in this complicated world. Then, ICTV journalists went upstairs to Patriarch's flat and took interview with him.
Aimed at the annihilation of Patriarch all means are set in motion: threats, frauds, open attacks (in evening the church was attacked with the aim of supervisory control system destroying).
Today, Patriarch is yet at liberty, but the plans of the attackers were voiced: to throw the drugs and send to prison. The district police office head's deputy promised the defense but it is so difficult to trust when the corrupted militsia and govement of Ukraine.
