Knowing of the corrupted judicial system in Ukraine, we are not sure about the fairness of the judicial decrees, that's why we have summoned this press conference for people to know the truth. Also we realize the judicial responsibility for the false testimony.
The Malynychy family together with V. Velehitskyi tried to steal - to raid the Churches of God in Uzhgorod. They have already misappropriated some of the documents concerning our communities by ruse that was confirmed to us by the representatives of the internal policy administration of the Transcarpathian regional public administration.
The Malynychy family having the backing of their son, who works in the Uzhgorod public prosecution office as the prosecutor's deputy, performed the machinations with the church accounts. For the violations of the all the Church canons and the state's laws, they and V. Velehitskyi, who helped them, were excommunicated from the church unity and anathematized. In spite of that fact, they dared to change the church locks of the Saint Andrew chapel and started to ministered the liturgies there again, having no right even to approach to the altar of God.
October 11, the Saint Andrew chapel at Olbrakht street was sealed up by the church commission in the presence of Bishop Vasyliy of Uzhgorod and the Transcarpathia. However, the embittered anathematized tore off the seal from the chapel and probably committed arson on October 19, 2008.
Due to professional work of the firemen, the fire was swiftly put out, almost before the walls of the chapel outside could catch the fire, of what you can make sure with your own eyes both at the photo and at the scene of crime. By the evidences of the firemen, the ignition arose evenly on all the walls of the chapel inside what needed the spilling of flammable liquid. The version of ignition because of a circuit is turned down as in that case the electricity would be discontinued also in the houses, connected to the same electric power line with the chapel (but that didn't happen). Besides, the firemen (as the first, who arrived at the place of fire) were asked about the presence in the chapel of scorched crosses, evangel in the metal casing, seven-branched candlestick, icons and other property of the community. By their evidences, the chapel was absolutely empty. These facts let us make a conclusion that everything had been stolen by those, who committed the arson.
We also don't eliminate the possibility of new attack from the anathematized on the Holy Trinity church at number 15d Timiriazev street, where now we are giving the press conference on the crimes, committed against our church.
On the day of crime, the head of the community and Bishop Vasyliy applied for the police right away. But regardless of everything, there is an insane reaction to the legal demands of the communities for checking the church accounts for 5 years. As people say: "An uneasy conscience betrays itself". The criminal grouping in the likeness of godliness obtained the possibility to rule over the church accounts, elected and reelected themselves to the senior positions at the community's back without holding the general elections in order to open new accounts in the town.
According to the statute, only the community has the right to elect the head and the secretary for conducting the affairs of the community and the church gatherings should be hold only in the temple with the participation of those, who attend the Liturgy. We invite to make certain with your own eyes that during the Sunday services (from 10 a.m.) we have about 60-130 and more people.
During all the time of the existence of this accounts, not a pence was received for the building of the temples, though that money has been given by the direct donations of the parishioners of the Transcarpathia and recently also by the parishioners of the Kyiv communities of our Church.
Thus the question comes up: why on the legal requirements of the community to check the state of the church accounts, arises such strong opposition on the part of the anathematized? Who and to what extent illegally use this accounts, that even ready to raid and burn our churches? The answer is very simple: by the affirmations of the representatives of town authority, Andriy Malynych had sent his parents into the religious communities so that they, having obtained the possibility to rule over the accounts, helped him to accept bribes from the businessmen.
Also we know that during the short period of time, 3 town prosecutors were caught at taking bribes and A.A. Malynych, holding the post of prosecutor's deputy, grew rich and stayed on his post.
We can't easily watch at the corruption in the state, moreover we can't allow any of its manifestations in the Church of God, therefore we strongly opposed this. Currently, we barely make both ends meet to build the temples. Many of you witnessed the arrival of about 200 Christians from Kyiv at the end of August, who built the reinforcing-concrete foundations of the Holy Trinity and the Saint Andrew temples. Such Christian mission was fulfilled by the faithful at their own cost and their donations were directed to buying the building materials and involvement of necessary building technique. People were building the temples by their own hands instead of going to have a rest at the warm sea. And exactly such deeds we urge everybody in Ukraine to take for a model, if there is a wish to change something for the better. Amen.
