On Good Thursday and Friday in church are read 12 passion Gospels, revealing the tragedy of mankind and great love of God, who gave away His Son for the sake of those who believes in Him. The faithful listen to the Holy Gospels with burning candles and after the service take the fire home to mark the doorways above the front door with a sign of cross as protection of their home from evil.
On Friday the funeral of Jesus Christ take place. Shroud of Christ is carried out to the middle of the church for veneration.
Even at this tragic moment God presents people with His grace. Kissing the Shroud of Christ, the faithful can ask God for one inmost wish, which will be fulfilled usually within a year, if there’s God’s will for it and if the faithful strive for pious life.
