ON SUNDAY OF TRIUMPH OF ORTHODOXY

On Sunday of Triumph of Orthodoxy His Holiness Patriarch Moisey consecrated mitred archpriest Oleksandr into Choir- Bishop with a title: Choir- Bishop of Zhytomyr, Vicar of Kyiv. Patriarch said that that day there was consecrated the first bishop for Ukraine from our Christ Church, who, we can hope, would serve as Apostle. Who would n’t seek for well-to-do Eparchies, but, as a sheep among wolfs, would lead seeking for God’s truth souls to salvation. Let’s pray for Vladyka Oleksandr, let Our Lord strengthen him with His Angels and inspire with His gifts of Apostolic, Prophecy and Preaching. Amen.
Vladyka Oleksandr addressed people with his first sermon in the cloth of a bishop. In the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Glory to Jesus Christ! Wonderful and unknown are the ways of God. God has laid on me the mission to be a bishop. And this is a great service. We can think why God should need such grains of sand like we. But God feels happy for every soul, who strives for salvation. And he feels happy for the priests who lead these souls to God. And if someone doesn’t understand, then time will come and he will understand what kind of mission your soles are carrying out and what kind of mission our Patriarch Moisey is carrying out. Thanks to God we gathered here and are growing spiritually as the one Christ Family. I want to thank you for your prayers and ask you to continue praying for me. Because dark forces will come to me as a bishop to lead astray, but with our Lord and under the guidance of Vladyka Moisey I will be walking the way of life to God with all my strength. Amen.
